The Story

“THE RETRO RETREAT” is a Classic Original 1960’s Mollymook Beach Cottage.

Cottages in this street & location were very rarely placed on the market “tightly held” would be a good term! Roz worked in marketing for a local real estate agent at the time & was asked to take photos of the property for the marketing sales campaign.

Roz had admired this cottage & location for years but never thought it would come on the market for sale, after her initial excitement at visiting the property to take the photos she them started to plan a stragety to purchase this dream house.

After a week of negotiations the offer was accepted & the story begins.

The cottage was permanently let for more than 6 years while planning the concept & budget for “The Retro Retreat”

Renovations finally started in March 2014 & “THE RETRO RETREAT” was born. The cottage has had a major facelift while still maintaining the classic beach house feel. Since placing the house on the holiday rental market in early September 2014 we have had some amazing feedback from our happy clients, this gorgeous beach cottage is now available for all to enjoy.......

The Location

“THE RETRO RETREAT” sits high on the hill in one of Mollymook’s most sought after streets, Donlan Road. The location is perfect for the beach style holiday as the cottage is one street back from Mollymook Beach & located between North & South ends of the beach.

The cottage is an easy walk to everything from that early morning dip to your first hit of expresso! The beaches are swimmer & surfer friendly with various options between the north & south ends.

Cafes, shops, parks, golf club & restaurants are all within walking distance with a variety of dining available. The beautiful historic township of Milton & the shopping of Ulladulla are a short 5 minute drive away.

“THE RETRO RETREAT” is a gorgeous, colourful, light & comfortable Mollymook Beach Cottage. Lovingly restored & packed with modern conveniences with a contemporary retro feel. Sitting high on the hill it takes in the ocean views & lovely N/E summer breezes. “The RETRO RETREAT” is double storey & consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 living areas, kitchen, laundry, 2 decks & outdoor BBQ & fire pit area.

The house was an old school beach house, but has been renovated to a high standard and furnished with bright, comfortable furniture. The house has great natural light and is high enough on the hill to catch the sea breeze. Situated a street back from the beach it suited our family to a tee, and we would definitely stay again. The owner was very helpful with local info and nothing seemed like too much trouble.”
